So I had a hard time picking just a small number of photos to showcase from Sarah and Jason's wedding once I finally did the edits. My second shoot and I compiled some amazing shots to really tell the story of the day!
Sarah said two amazing statements when she called after her and her husband got to sit down and look at all the images; "I cried when I finally got to see the pictures, They look amazing!" and "You and the other photographers that you hired took some photos we didn't even realize that you had taken!"
But the true honor was getting to work with such a great couple and their families for what turned out to be one of my best wedding shoots to date! I look forward to helping them to build an amazing album and more for them to share with their family and friends for years to come!
Congrats again Sarah and Jason! I hope you remember your special day forever...you two are such an awesome couple
Last weekend I shot at the Iron Pigs Stadium in Allentown for Green Hope Charities, Women's 5k Classic and Race Against the Sun...All Charities that raise money for different variations of cancer. It was a great event at a SOLD OUT Game for the Iron Pigs and Wilkes-Barre Scranton Yankees. Green Hope sold raffle tickets that auctioned off 2 autographed jerseys from that nights game on special Iron Pigs Jerseys that were to advertise for the big sponsor for the "harley night" game, Crossroads Harley Davidson, located down in Center Valley, PA. GHC also did a silent auction to auction off all the Iron Pigs Jerseys that all the players were wearing, that at the end of the game the players would take off and autograph for each of the winners of the auctions as well.
All in all it was a great night and a fun time for all that attended and volunteered their time to help!
This last one makes me smile...because even in two days I can see that this is truely their spirits coming out...Madison is the serious one alot of times looking out for her sister while still she poses for the camera sticking her tongue out at me and Megan is the one that is just happy to run play and smile, and I can usually always catch her looking at me and smiling when she doesn't think I'll catch her.
I uploaded the first ones before this one so scroll down and read on as to who my new little gems are. Check back often for new shots from Megan and Madison as well as all moy new work!
I wanted to post a few of my favorite shots from last night. I had the honor of photographing Sarah & Jason's Wedding yesterday. They are a beautiful couple that just by being them you can see right away how much they L-O-V-E eachother. The were always holding hands and enjoying time with their family and friends of which many came from out of town and overseas for this great event!
Thank you Sarah & Jason! It was a blast...I wanted to give you a sneak peek of the images to come...I know I always found myself excited to work with you and create amazing images! You have been such a joy to work with!
Thank you again and congratulations you two...enjoy Hawaii!
Hey all! Hope you are doing well! I had the opportunity to night with a friend to peruse over at the bethlehem steel sight where they were filming the opening scenes of Transformers 2. The scenes are evidently to portray a city in China. They have had trains running, explosions, black hawk and apache helicopters flying around the buildings as well as Helicopters made out to look like Chinese police as well. But what amazed me the most was just the buildings all lit up. People have been saying that they can remember when they acctually looked like that when the steel was up and running. It shut down in the early 80's. But I think it is amazing the history that people are now trying to preserve or create with the space now. This is near to where the Sands Corporation is building their new casino in Bethlehem as well...Tonight was the last night of shooting supposedly for Bethlehem. tomorrow they are on their way to Philly and DC. Cant wait to see the movie!
So tonight I came home from shooting a wedding and felt inspired to continue to make some new art. However it really had nothing to do with the wedding itself today...but more about the fact that a colleague of mine doesn't like the idea of "trash the dress" and I have a few old wedding dresses that I have collected over the last few months to start experimenting with for just that concept "trashing the dress" I think they can be really beautiful...think about it...your wedding day is one of the days when you look the most beautiful. You now have the opportunity to put the dress back on and not worry about getting it dirty. You can take it anywhere. The beach, train tracks, the woods or anywhere else you can think of. I would like to get 1-or several people together to go to NY or some other metropolis and run around in wedding dresses and make some new art that the valley has yet to experience. I think it could and would be something new for the Valley. As well as the rest of the world.
take a look at the following images and let me know if they inspire you? feel free to e-mail me at Kate@KateDuffyPhoto.com if you are interested in booking a TTD shoot.
Keep in mind this can be for brides, or bridesmaids, as well as high school and college girls with some great prom gowns too. the following images are simply something to get the mind working about this idea...Now LETS MAKE SOME GREAT ART!
I am passionate about my work as a photographer...I know what works in getting the right emotions and feelings from a subject. I love darkness and light, contrast, black and white...and COLOR for what doesn't work in Black and White
